Renaissance Plastic Surgery in Plano, near Dallas and Frisco

Site Admin - Tuesday, July 19, 2011
Renaissance Plastic Surgery is the perfect place to rejuvenate your looks and become the best that you can be. Renaissance is centrally located in Plano to better service you.
Upon entering the office, you’ll always be greeted by a friendly face. And the immediate care you receive here is unlike any other office for miles around. The staff really takes the time to understand patients’ needs and make them comfortable before, during, and after they undergo plastic surgery. Although the staff is highly qualified, they do not perform consultations. Dr. Jeff Angobaldo believes that he should be the one in the consults so he is able to understand your concerns.
Many people believe that their plastic surgeon is board certified just because they are currently practicing. But the two don’t necessarily go together. State laws make it easy for surgeons to portray themselves as something that they’re not. Even though you may find a doctor saying they’re a “plastic surgeon,” if they don’t have certification it would be a good idea to keep looking. Dr. Angobaldo is a board certified plastic surgeon, so you can trust that he fully understands any procedure and is capable of successfully taking care of your needs.
Plastic Surgery is continuing to grow in popularity. Procedures such as liposuction and fat transfer are especially common, as the results look very natural. Fat transfer is able to create beautiful contouring on the body with very little downtime. This is a good alternative for those who prefer to keep things natural. Liposuction is also a great option because the skin tightens up quickly and gives you the results that you desire.
I know many people think they can’t afford plastic surgery, and I would have to say that those people are wrong. Some plastic surgeons have general prices on their websites, but at Renaissance Plastic Surgery they will not quote you an incorrect price. Every body is different, and Dr.Angobaldo will work with you to be sure you get what you want and are able to stay within your price point. If money is still an issue, there are always financing options and monthly specials that are available. A great benefit of joining the Renaissance family is that you will get discounts on future procedures.
Renaissance Plastic Surgery is a great place to go and renew your looks. With a board certified plastic surgeon you can trust, centrally located between Frisco and Dallas, experienced in many procedures including Botox, tummy tucks, liposuction, and fat transfer, Renaissance Plastic Surgery is the right choice.

Benefits of Liposuction

Site Admin - Monday, July 18, 2011
More and more people are turning to liposuction to help achieve their aesthetic goals. Patients benefit both mentally and physically from liposuction. In fact, liposuction has become one of the most popular plastic surgery procedures in the world because it is a safe and effective way to remove fat and minimize the appearance of cellulite on your body. To add to its effectiveness, liposuction can be paired with a myriad of complementary procedures such as breast augmentation, tummy tuck and even facial plastic surgery.

     The benefits of liposuction include:

  • Safe removal of fat
  • Reduction of cellulite or improvement in the appearance of cellulite
  • Improved health, usually associated with fat loss
  • Changes the way you look, and the way others perceive you
  • Boost in self-esteem
  • Sculpting areas of body that even exercise and diet don’t seem to impact

Some of the most sought after reasons for pursuing liposuction includes improved health associated with fat loss, improved overall appearance and the reduction in the appearance of cellulite.

           Improved Health

Fat removal, whether through dieting or plastic surgery such as liposuction, can have beneficial effects on your overall health and overall well-being. Most doctors conclude that weight loss is the best way to reduce your risk of heart disease, diabetes and even certain types of cancer. Although liposuction cannot be used to remove large quantities of fat, it can be used for removal of stubborn pockets of fat of 10 pounds or less that resist diet and exercise.
Liposuction also benefits those in need of breast reduction. This type of breast surgery is often used when disproportionately large breasts cause health problems such as back pain, neck pain and headaches, including migraines.

          Improved Appearance

Problem areas that are resistant to diet and exercise can often be dramatically improved through liposuction. The body smoothing and contouring available with liposuction can make an individual look and feel better by simple fact that their clothes fit better.

           Fat Removal

Every cell in the body has a specific function that is vital to the body’s functionality and homeostasis. Fat cells are designed to store any unused energy from the food we eat. The body uses fat for insulation, shock absorption and an emergency source of fuel. The specific body areas where fat is stored depend on your body type, where genetics plays a huge role. Liposuction is an effective fat removal treatment and can help eliminate unwanted pockets of fat that accumulate disproportionately in various areas of the body, contributing to a more desirable overall appearance.

Facts About Laser Hair Removal

Shawn Singh - Friday, July 15, 2011

How it works

Laser hair removal removes hair follicles by using a pulsed light to target, break down and destroy the dark pigment (melanin) in hair. This is the exact reason why this procedure works only on people with dark hair. Lasers are attracted to dark pigment, this means dark skin too and if treated it may cause discoloration on darker skin. Hair grows in three phases: growing, resting and shedding. Laser hair removal targets hair follicles in the growth stage.

 When does hair fall out?

Within 10-14 days after the treatment, hair follicles will start to fall out. Using a body scrub or sugar scrub on the treated areas helps to remove any stubborn hair follicles.

What areas can be treated?

The laser (pulsed light) targets several hair follicles at once so larger areas of the skin can be treated. Depending on the size of the area you are targeting, sit time could take anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours. Possible areas of treatment are:

  • Lower and upper legs
  • Back
  • Stomach
  • Bikini
  • Upper lip
  • Underarms
  • Chin

The most common areas of treatment for women include: the face, underarms, bikini area and legs. The most common areas of treatment for men include: the back, neck, chest, shoulders and abdomen.
