SlimLipo in Plano, Texas

Dr. Angobaldo and Renaissance Plastic Surgery are pleased to offer the latest in body sculpting technology - Palomar SlimLipo!

What is SlimLipo?

SlimLipo goes beyond traditional liposuction techniques by using laser technology to "melt" unwanted fat safely and effectively. After fat is removed, the second wavelength of SlimLipo is able to tighten skin to help give you tighter contours than traditional liposuction.

Dr. Angobaldo will work with you to identify which areas of your body you would like treated and goes over the best plan of care. The SlimLipo procedure is still a surgical procedure and requires close evaluation of your needs and goals.

We love SlimLipo, because our patients can experience:

  • Smoother, tighter skin with less contour deformities

  • Faster healing with small incisions, less bruising, reduced pain, and minimal blood loss and swelling.

  • Less downtime for those with busy schedules.

Are you unhappy with a previous liposuction procedure?

Are you unsatisfied with a previous liposuction procedure that left contour deformities? SlimLipo is extremely effective in treating these problem areas due to selective “melting” of fat. Patients will notice enhanced skin retraction and skin smoothing.

Do you know?

Renaissance Plastic Surgery was the first practice in Northeast Texas to offer this revolutionary system. Dr. Angobaldo is a national speaker for Palomar Medical, and that our practice location serves as a training site for SlimLipo for surgeons across the United States.

SlimLipo Vs. Smart Lipo Video

When the lasers are turned on you will see a photothermal effect on the left in the SlimLipo curette. This is due to the wave length (fat absorbs light preferentially at 924) and the pulse width (continuous wave) so that the light is delivered properly and efficiently. The right side with the SmartLipo will show some bubbles and start to show some affect at the very end of the video. The minimal effect is because the two wave lengths used are more absorbed by water than fat. The bubbles are from the pulsed energy delivery which causes high peak powers and therefore results in photoacoustic or photomechanical effects. Basically the Slim lipo is more efficient wavelength for lipolysis in comparison the Smart lipo.
